How did your journey as an author begin?
My journey as an author began in 2014. I’ve always had a desire to write in various forms. I’ve written poems, plays, and now a motivational book.
Was it something you always wanted to pursue?
Something I’ve always wanted to pursue is entrepreneurship. I believe not only will the opportunity as an author allow me the chance to help others, but it will also become a catalyst for my journey into entrepreneurship.
Who or what motivated you to write?
My family, friends, and former students inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming an author.
Do you have a tip that you can offer your peers (poets and writers worldwide)?
No matter how many poets or writers there are, none of them are you. Your story, your ideas, they matter! Share them with the world!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years, I see myself in a thriving marriage, creating a podcast, writing plays, writing more books, and traveling the world doing what I love. I see myself living the life I desire so much that it inspires all I meet.
What does being an author mean to you?
Being an author means the world to me. I can share my story, experiences, and learned lessons, in hopes that they will help someone along their journey.
What’s your favorite quote and who’s it by?
My favorite quote is “Gather Yourself” by Shy Fortenberry.
If you could co-author with anyone – dead or alive- who would it be and why?
If I could co-author with anyone I hope it is my future husband. I desire this because so many in the world are losing hope of experiencing an authentic and genuine type of love. It is my prayer and belief that God will grace me with the opportunity to experience a loving Husband. Together we will share our journey in hopes that it brings a change in the perception of positivity regarding partnership and the power of healthy family units.
